The Christies reunited in Montepulciano

With the great excuse of this year’s Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra tour to Tuscany, we decided to spend a couple of days in Montepulciano, where the orchestra was based. David went for a trip down memory lane (he was involved with the Cantiere Internazionale from 1978-82!), and we all enjoyed good food and beautiful views. On the way there, we had a caffè latte on the main square in Lugano, inspected the building site at Lugano station, and paid a visit to our good friends in Sorengo and Novaggio, Gabor, Alessia and Christoph. We also took the opportunity of playing the tourist in Parma (on the way down) and Cremona (on the way back). A highlight was the final concert in the delightful Teatro Poliziano in Montepulciano, in which we heard the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with Hani Song in the first half and opera excerpts in the second half, with Seán leading the double basses

…oh, and Áedán passed his Cambridge Proficiency with an “A” (CEFR: C2)!
